A Little Teapot

Hello and happy June! I created this card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #149 - Dies Only. It's funny how I came about this one. I had a Stitched Teapot cut out on my table for another card and I had laid the the Magic Iris Beehive Add On I had just cut on top of it. Holy Cow!!! The handle, spout and lid fit perfectly, so I decided to turn my beehive into a teapot. All I had to do was cut off the bottom.

I ink blended the beehive with Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink. I used the Skinny Stripes Stencil with Prize Ribbon to ink the background.

I don't know about you but I sure enjoy tea with honey when I have a cold, so I decided to use the get well sentiment from the More Magic Messages. I also wanted to put a little steam coming out of the pot, so I used the new Stitched Trails Hot Foil Plate with Gold Glimmer Foil on white vellum. I had a couple of pieces left over, so I used one for the string on the tea bag.

For the little plate and sugar cubes, I used the Stitched Teacup.. The honey comb behind the flowers come from the Honeycomb Shaker Gift Tag die. The flowers are from Stitched Teapot and Magic Iris Beehive dies.

I really like how this card turned out, especially being able to make the beehive a teapot. Who knew?

I hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

Sandy
