Out With Two ... In With New

Happy New Year! This fun little card just kind of fell together this afternoon. I just love when that happens. I entered this in the Lawn Fawn Challenge #139. For this Happy New Year theme, I wanted to show a mouse lifting up the number 3 in 2023 and another mouse carrying away the number 2.

I created a night sky, using the Lawn Fawn Nighttime Sky stencil with Distress Oxide Inks in, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.

I cut the Stitched Hillside Backdrop out of Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock. I cut a Stitched Rectangle Frame from Blue Jay cardstock. I felt like I needed a tree on the left side of scene, so I cut a Lift The Flap Backdrop out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock. I cut the left tree along the inside edges created by the frame on the cut out. I also cut the tree stump from the Stitched Hillside Backdrop out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock. I brushed a little Walnut Stain Distressed Oxide on the tree and stump to give it a little dimensions.

For the mice on the card, I used mice from, Dandy Day, Dandy Day Flip Flop, Happy Hugs and Scootin' By. I really had to shop my stash to find some little accessories to create a New Year's Eve celebration. I used the hats from the Scootin' By stamps for noise makers in addition to the party hats and I used the top hat out of Bicycle Built For Two.

The numbers were cut from Henry's 123 out of Gold Sparkle cardstock. For the sentiment, I used Winter Wavy Sayings and Fancy Wavy Banners.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy New Year To All!
