Will You Bee Mine?

Hello again! Today I worked on a Valentine's Day card for the current Lawn Fawn Blog Challenge # 165-Lots of Heart

The little bee keeper on this card was a freebie with purchase during the May 2023 release. I hadn't had a chance to use it until today and I think that he is a keeper. The name of the stamp set is You're A Keeper. It isn't currently available, but I am thinking that they may release it at a future date. I would keep checking their website.

I used the Magic Iris and the Magic Iris Heart Add On for this card. I inked the background with Broken China Distress Oxide and the Cloudy Stencil for the sky. I speckled the sky with watered down ink for dimension. For the grassy area, I used Mowed Lawn touched up with Lucky Clover along with the Grassy Stencil. I spattered the grass with watered down Lucky Clover ink.

I highly recommend watching the Lawn Fawn tutorial on how to assemble this mechanism. It goes step by step and I still refer to it when I make one of these cards.

I heat embossed the sentiments on this card with black embossing powder using Henry Jr's ABC's.

I personally like hot foil on my cards so if I get an opportunity to do it I will. I used the Stitched Trails Hot Foil Plate with Red Glimmer Foil.

The stamp sets that I used for this card are: You're A: Keeper, Hive Five, Apple-solutely Awesome and You Goat This.

The Copic Markers I used are:

Grass:

YG05, G09

Bee Box, Signs"

E55, E57, E59

Honey Jars, Hat, Gloves & Boots:

Y13, Y15, Y17

The Reds on the card:

R14, R27 and R46

Beekeeping Veil:

R02

Bear:

E31, E33, E35

Jar Labels, Bee Wings & Signs:

BG000, BG01

The B - E -& E are cut from black and yellow cardstock using Henry's ABC's. I layered them and then highlighted them with a white gel pen.

As I was making this card, I was thinking about all the other cards with these same images.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are having an awesome day!

Sandy
