Be Merry

Hello and happy August. My goodness this year is going by so fast. This past weekend, we had a real break in the hot weather and it was just wonderful. It was a taste of fall for sure.

I created this card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #154 - Into The Woods. I wanted to do a Christmas/Winter card but I didn't want to use traditional colors.

For the background I used Distressed Ink in Dried Marigold, Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina. Although it is hard to see in the picture, I used Lost Shadow along with the Birch Tree Stencil to give it shadows of trees in the background.

Using the Snowflake Hot Foil Plate and Opal Glimmer Foil, I added snowflakes to the background. The paper was so pretty, I almost didn't even want to put anything on top of it.

I used the Birch Tree and the small Build A Snowman dies to cut my shapes out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. The snowman's hat, arms and bow are cut from the Autumn Sparkle Cardstock. The hat band and nose are from the Tropical Shimmer Cardstock pack.

For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Be and Merry. I cut both of them from Autumn Sparkle Cardstock also.

This is a very quick and easy card to make. It would be perfect for mass producing.

Hope you are last days of summer. Thanks for stopping by.

Sandy
