Happy Spring Break!

Hello! We had another snowy weekend here so it made me start thinking of Spring. I made this card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #166 - Interactive Cards. This is the first time that I have used this die and I can definitely see it being used in the future with a number of different scenes for the picture. So cute!!!

I started with the little picture that pops up from the camera. I used Claire's ABC's for the lettering, Life Is Good for the sand, waves, palm tree and birds. The sunglasses and flip flops are from Pool Party.

The Copic markers that I used are:

Blues:

BG000, BG01, BG02

Yellows:

Y00, Y02, YR12

Greens:

G09, YG05

Browns:

E23, E27, E53, E55

For the base of the card, I used Distress Oxide Inks. So little of the base shows that I didn't spend a bunch of time blending. The bottom of the base is Tea Dye, and Vintage Photo. At the top, I lightly inked Peacock Feathers and then came back with the Cloudy Stencil to create the clouds.

The camera is the Magic Iris Camera Add On. I used paper from two older patterned paper packs called Hello Sunshine Remix and Really Rainbow. I cut the base of the camera out of the yellow paper, then I cut the top and bottom portion of the camera from the other paper. For the picture that pops up, I used the Magic Iris Camera Pull Tab Add On. You will also need the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add On to make the mechanism work. There is a Lawn Fawn YouTube video, ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIEZauef7Xg&t=4s) that explains the construction of the mechanism that I use to help me assemble the card. I use the video that they put out all the time because it is almost impossible to remember all the steps, plus there are always some helpful hints.

For the little decorations on the bottom of the card, I used Woodland Critter Huggers Summer Add On. The little greenery pieces are from the Happy Mushrooms die set.

The sentiment was hot foiled using the Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates and cut out with the Big Scripty Words - Lawn Cuts.

This card makes me think of the warmer days ahead. It have been many years since I have participated in Spring Break, but they were some memorable times with my boys.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have some fun plans for this spring.

Sandy
