Home For The Pawlidays

Hello my crafty card making friends. I was supposed to be gone all day today, but fortunately those plans fell through and I was able to stay home and spend some time in my "zen den".

I really like Lawn Fawn's interactive cards and I especially like the Magic Picture Changer - it is my favorite. I wanted to make a Christmas card so as I was thumbing through my stamps I saw the Home For The Pawlidays, from the Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn Stamptember collaboration and I wondered if the dog house was the same size as the one from Lawn Fawn's Yappy Birthday. They aren't exactly the same but they were closed enough so I decided to use those two sets to make this card. In retrospect, I really just created extra work for myself because the dog house was the only piece from the Yappy Birthday set and I could have totally done the same card without doing a picture changer. It is still a fun card to give and receive though.

I used Copic markers for all the coloring. I used the following colors:

G07, YG09, YG67, E31, E34, E35, E55, E57, E59 Y08,Y17, YR20,YR21,YR23,YR24, R05,R17,R29, CO-C6

I ink blended the background paper, the Magic Picture Add On and the Magic Picture pieces with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I speckled all the pieces with white opaque acrylic paint.

I used the small snowflake dies from the Winter Wonderland Window and the Snow Flurries Backdrop to cut out snowflakes from Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. For the sentiment, I used the Merry Christmas Line Border die.

I colored a whole bunch of treats, toys and bones to add to the base of the picture changer. Those two puppies sure got quite the haul or "howl".

I hope you had a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Sandy
