I Choo Choose You!

Hello friends! We had a snowy weekend in Colorado, so it was a perfect time to play with paper. I love those snowy days when I don't have to go anywhere or do anything.

Today, I am using the Valentine Train stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh along with a couple of their stencils to make this fun little shaker card.

The heart background was stenciled with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink along with the Half Heart Stencils. This is a two part stencil, for the first layer, I lightly inked the first half of the hearts, then went heavy on the second layer. I speckled the whole thing with watered down ink.

For the second background layer, I used Mustard Seed Distressed Oxide along with the Valentine Words Stencil. I had originally inked it on white paper, but it was too harsh, so when the letters had dried completely, I went back in using the ink left in my blending brush to add color to the area that was going to be seen through the heart window. I also inked some paper to use as the background for the sentiments.

To cut out the window for the shaker element, I used the one of the large hearts from the Stitched Hearts Die. I used foam tape to make a well for the Valentine Hearts Clay Confetti. You can watch my YouTube video for a better description.

The coloring is down with Copic markers in the following colors:

Blues: B00, B12, B24

Reds: R14, R27, R39

Pinks: R81, R83, R85

Yellows: Y11, Y15, Y26

Grays: C1, C2, C3, C5, C7

Once my little train and other piece were colored, I cut them out and then glued them to the card.

I am really pleased with this card. I love the heart background, I think is just packs a huge punch.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are well and staying warm!

Sandy
