Let's SHELL-EBRATE!

Hello friends. Hope you are enjoying your summer. I am in Colorado and we sure had a wet June, but it is heating up nicely now.

For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's new How You Bean? Seashell Add On. Usually when I use the How You Bean? stamp set, I also use the How You Bean" Shaker Add On. I use the shaker add on to cut out the inside of the jar so I can add a piece of acetate to make it more realistic. You can't really see the acetate in the picture but its there.

For this background, I used Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide along with the Hillside Stencil for the beach. Using the Hillside Stencil as a mask, I lightly inked Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide on the upper part of the background. I used the Bubble Background Stencil with Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide. I moved around the stencils to change the placement of bubbles when I used the different links. I think it made a cute background.

As I was working on this card, I knew that I wanted to make the jar a home for the fish. I wanted the sentiment to congratulate someone on their new home, so I shopped my stash and used the Happy Village stamp set. I didn't use the full "congratulations on your new home" - I just cut off the part I wanted and used the "Time to Shell-ebrate" from the How You Bean? Seashell Add On.

I used the lid of the jar for a seashell garden and planted a sign right in the middle. The stamp sets I used are: Fintastic Friends, You Are Sublime, and Apple-solutely Awesome. I arranged and glued them all together and used foam dots to pop them up. I had some leftover shells and seaweed, to I popped them up in the corner of the jar. The little fish, except the ones in the jar are popped up also.

I think this jar makes an amazing new home. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great day!

Sandy
