Silent Night

Hello my card making friends! I hope you are all well. I don't know where my days go but they sure seem to fly by and a can't seem to find any time to make cards. I thought I would try to get one in today before I have yet another busy week ahead.

This one is for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #160 Create a project that is inspired by your favorite holiday song or movie. Well, that is kind of hard because I have many favorite holiday songs and movies. I am fond of Silent Night because in grade school, I was in choir and we sang a song in conjunction with the traditional song that was so pretty. I have never heard it again, but I often sing it to myself when I hear Silent Night.

This card doesn't require very many supplies. For the background, I ink blended, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I speckled the paper with a metallic gold watercolor. I also used the Starry Sky Background Hot Foil Plate with Opal Glimmer Foil. I used the opal foil instead of a metallic foil because I just wanted a nice shimmer.

The snow globe is the new Build A Snow Globe. I used the same inks to for the background of the snow globe. To build the stable, I used the roof piece from Build a Barn and small strips cut from Dark Brown Woodgrain Cardstock. The manger, is fireplace grate from the Shadow Box Fireplace Add On.

I used Finley's ABC's for the "Silent Night". The additional stars are from Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag.

That's it for today! Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are finding time to do the things that bring you joy.

Sandy
